    About This Event

Max Bessesen leads his quartet at The Django, presenting music that stems from his work as a player and composer. A Brooklyn-based multi-woodwind instrumentalist, Bessesen has been praised for his "saxophone virtuosity" (Downbeat), has performed with Miguel Zenon, Mimi Jones and Darcy James Argue, and has appeared at Dizzy’s Club, Birdland and The Jazz Gallery; his 2020 album Trouble (Ropeadope), featuring Ron Miles, includes the ASCAP-winning single "Bakkam".
