About the Artists
Cyndi Lauper
Cyndi Lauper is an American rock and pop singer-songwriter whose catalog spans a dozen studio albums and decades of recording and touring. Her work is defined by a wide vocal range and an instinct for character-driven phrasing, often treating pop songs as short narratives.
John Lennon
John Lennon was an English songwriter, musician, and activist whose work shaped modern rock and pop. As a founder of the Beatles, he helped define a band-centered model of writing and recording, while his later solo material often narrowed in on direct language and pointed themes; his songs tend to favor candor over ornament.
