Rachel Cusk: Life of M
About This Event
Rachel Cusk appears at Pioneer Works for "Life of M", a live event staged at the art space. Cusk, author of thirteen novels and several works of nonfiction and recipient of awards including the Whitbread First Novel Award and a Somerset Maugham Award, has long explored motherhood, marriage and experimental narrative forms—concerns that shape her public appearances.
About Life of M
At Pioneer Works, Rachel Cusk presents *Life of M* as a live event shaped around her recent novel, which follows a narrator assembling the life of an actress known only as M. The piece sits between literary portrait and performance, with a Rock/Pop frame rather than a conventional reading. Cusk’s work has long returned to intimacy, power, and self-invention, and here those concerns are tested in public, in real time. As far as public information indicates, this marks the NYC presentation at Pioneer Works.
