False Harmonics #28: Currawong Project

Matthias Kriesberg is a composer and electronic artist whose work moves between contemporary concert music and media-based performance. In New York City he has presented projects at Pioneer Works, including the Currawong Project in the False Harmonics series, pairing his writing with electronics by Kevin Larke and video by Huei Lin.

Kevin Larke is a New York City–based electronic artist whose work often sits between concert music and visual art. At Pioneer Works, he has provided live electronics for the False Harmonics series, including Matthias Kriesberg’s Currawong Project alongside pianists Han Chen, Arseniy Gusev, Asiya Korepanova, Nicolas Namoradze, and Élisabeth Pion, with video art by Huei Lin.

Han Chen is a pianist whose work sits between contemporary classical practice and electronic-informed performance. In New York City, he has appeared at Pioneer Works in projects that place the piano inside larger systems of sound and image, including False Harmonics #28: the Currawong Project by composer Matthias Kriesberg with electronics by Kevin Larke and video art by Huei Lin.
