Be Your Own Pet is a Nashville-bred punk and garage rock act built around vocalist Jemina Pearl with Jonas Stein, Nathan Vasquez and John Eatherly; they draw on riot grrrl and queercore lineages and favor speed, blunt hooks and a live feel over studio polish. They are joined by Farmer's Wife, an Austin band, and the Josephine Network, a collective focused on creating and promoting cultural events and performances.
