About The Parkside Lounge
The Parkside Lounge is a small live-music bar on Houston Street at the edge of the Lower East Side in Manhattan. Opened in 2001, it runs a steady calendar centered on rock, blues, roots, and singer-songwriter bills, with late sets that skew loud and close-up. The room is built around a narrow stage and standing-floor sightlines rather than theater seating. On most nights, the crowd and the band end up sharing the same volume of air.
