About This Event
At Arthur's Tavern the Anthony Bolden Trio works between straight-ahead jazz and freer, open-form playing, treating the clubstand as a laboratory where written themes yield to collective improvisation. Bolden positions the ensemble around responsive phrasing and rhythmic negotiation, with the trio favoring real-time interplay and shifting structures over fixed arrangements.
