About This Event
The Anthony Bolden Trio, a New York City–based group working between straight-ahead tradition and freer, open-form playing, brings its clubstand-as-laboratory approach to Arthur's Tavern. Bolden centers the music on responsive phrasing and rhythmic negotiation, shifting from written themes to collective improvisation so the three players shape direction in real time.
