About This Event
T.K. Blue is a New York City–based saxophonist and flautist, composer and educator whose Afro-Caribbean heritage informs rhythmic and melodic approaches to modern jazz; he served as musical director for Randy Weston and has worked with Don Cherry, Jayne Cortez and Dollar Brand. At The Django he fronts the T.K. Blue Quartet, presenting sets that emphasize structure and instrumental dialogue and move between straight-ahead forms and fusion-leaning textures.

T.K. Blue Quartet
"T.K.Blue, a multi-instrumentalist, forms part of a particularly delightful group that oscillates between classic and inspired Jazz, and a form of Jazz fusion that is both explosive and poetic, making it truly enjoyable" - Thierry De Clemensat, Paris Move, Sept 19, 2024
