Back to Green

Now at PACNYC: the Perelman Performing Arts Center, *Back to Green* is a new musical that tracks a return—personal and civic—to a city’s shared spaces, using songs to log what gets lost and what gets rebuilt. Set against New York’s everyday churn, it follows characters negotiating memory, money, and responsibility as a neighborhood changes around them. If this is its first New York run, the setting carries extra weight: the city becomes both subject and evidence. The score leans on plainspoken storytelling rather than spectacle.
