DJ Miss Parker and S4M23 round out the bill, the latter moving between live hardware and club-focused mixing.
About ILLEGAL: Rave Flyers of the 90s Launch Party
“ILLEGAL: Rave Flyers of the 90s” lands at Nowadays as a launch party shaped like an oral history, told through DJs rather than text. The night draws a line from New York’s early-’90s underground to the present, with DB—UK-born, NYC-based since 1989 and a Breakbeat Science co-founder—appearing in a rare behind-the-decks role alongside DJ Miss Parker, DJ Three, and S4M23. The flyers being honored were disposable objects that ended up as an accidental archive. The program treats them as evidence of how a scene organized itself before platforms and permissions.
