Murmrr Presents Numero Group - 23rd Anniversary Celebration w/ Laraaji, The Album Leaf, Shira Small
About This Event
Murmrr Presents Numero Group — 23rd Anniversary Celebration at National Sawdust brings Laraaji, The Album Leaf (Jimmy LaValle) and Shira Small on a single bill. The program moves through ambient, new-age and drone-adjacent work; Laraaji builds pieces from steady patterns and patient shifts, LaValle layers post‑rock structures with ambient electronics, and Small pairs acoustic precision with electronics and long‑form textures, framed by Numero Group’s archival context.

Murmrr Presents Numero Group - 23rd Anniversary Celebration w/ Laraaji, The Album Leaf, Shira Small
Murmrr Presents Numero Group – 23rd Anniversary Celebration is a curated concert program staged at National Sawdust in Brooklyn, bringing together Laraaji, The Album Leaf (Jimmy LaValle), and Shira Small under a single bill.
Laraaji
Laraaji is an individual artist working in rock and pop contexts, appearing in New York City settings such as Public Records. In performance, he tends to build pieces from steady patterns and patient shifts, keeping the room’s attention on texture and timing rather than spectacle.
The Album Leaf
The Album Leaf is the long-running project of composer and producer Jimmy LaValle, working in the space where post-rock structures meet ambient electronics. His music favors slow-form development, sustained tones, and careful layering, often borrowing the patience and restraint associated with contemporary classical listening.
Shira Small
Shira Small is an emerging classical artist who appears in New York City programs that blur genre boundaries. She has performed at Brooklyn’s National Sawdust, including Murmrr’s Numero Group 23rd Anniversary event alongside Laraaji and The Album Leaf.
