The Album Leaf: Classical Ensemble in New York

About The Album Leaf

The Album Leaf is the long-running project of composer and producer Jimmy LaValle, working in the space where post-rock structures meet ambient electronics. His music favors slow-form development, sustained tones, and careful layering, often borrowing the patience and restraint associated with contemporary classical listening. In New York City, he has appeared at National Sawdust, including Murmrr’s Numero Group 23rd Anniversary program alongside Laraaji and Shira Small. The work tends toward clarity over spectacle, with texture and pacing doing most of the narrative work.
