Liturgy
About This Event
Liturgy is the Brooklyn-based black metal project led by composer and guitarist Haela Hunt-Hendrix that treats black metal as a compositional framework, drawing lines to downtown figures such as Glenn Branca and Rhys Chatham and folding in progressive rock, electronic and hip hop–informed textures. At ISSUE Project Room they perform with a focus on rigor and articulation rather than spectacle, a practice consistent with their work in New York’s experimental orbit.
