serpentwithfeet is the stage name of Jonathan Josiah Wise, an R&B songwriter and DJ whose work sits close to pop and rock structures while keeping language at the center. L’Rain is the New York–based project led by multi-instrumentalist, composer, and curator Taja Cheek. Her work moves between rock and pop, electronic music, and hip-hop/R&B, using collage, looping, and careful arrangement to test what a “song” can hold.
