Steve Vai is an American guitarist, composer, and producer whose career began in the late 1970s, first working behind the scenes transcribing music for Frank Zappa before joining Zappa’s touring band in the early 1980s.

Tony Levin is an American musician and composer known for his work on electric bass, Chapman Stick, and upright bass, with additional roles as a vocalist and synthesist.
