Jon Cowherd is an American pianist and composer whose work moves between modern jazz structure and open improvisation. He is closely associated with drummer Brian Blade through their long-running Fellowship project, and he also produces and arranges for a wide circle of jazz, pop, and rock artists.

Steve Cardenas is a guitarist whose early work took shape in Kansas City before he settled into New York City’s jazz community in the mid-1990s. His playing moves between modern jazz and freer forms, with an ear for atmosphere that also aligns with ambient jazz.

Tony Scherr is a dynamic force in the jazz world, known for his exceptional talent as a bassist, guitarist, and singer-songwriter. His artistry has graced the stages of New York City’s iconic Jazz at Lincoln Center, where he frequently collaborates with legendary musicians like Bill Frisell.

Adam Cruz is a New York City–based jazz drummer whose work centers on steady time, careful dynamics, and close listening. At Smalls Jazz Club he appears with ensembles such as the Eliot Zigmund Quintet, joining another drummer-led front line in a format that highlights form and interaction.
