    About This Event

Alto and soprano saxophonist Eric Person, who has worked in New York since 1982 and leads the group Meta-Four, brings his quintet to Smalls Jazz Club. He has shared bandstands and sessions with McCoy Tyner, Dave Holland, Donald Byrd, Chico Hamilton and the World Saxophone Quartet, and with rock and funk artists including Vernon Reid and Bootsy Collins. His playing balances open-ended free-jazz language with a clear melodic throughline.
