A regular at Smoke who has recorded over 20 albums as a leader and some 300 as a sideman, Alexander draws on collaborations with Vincent Herring and Eric Scott Reed, heard during the COUNTDOWN 2026 Coltrane Festival, to favor direct swing and clear melodic lines over spectacle.
