About This Event

About The Late Checkout Tour 2026
The Late Checkout Tour 2026 arrives at Irving Plaza with Ax and the Hatchetmen, a rock/pop group that threads folk-inflected writing into a band-forward live format. The set leans on arrangement as narrative, moving between clean hooks and looser ensemble passages where instruments trade roles. In a city where Irving Plaza has long served as a mid-sized proving ground for touring acts, the stop situates the band in New York’s ongoing club lineage. One clear takeaway is how tightly the material is built to withstand stylistic shifts without losing its center.
