Violinist and composer Tomoko Omura—DownBeat’s #1 Rising Star Violinist in 2021 and leader of five albums including Branches Vol. 2—brings her compositional work to Bar Bayeux with pianist Glenn Zaleski, bassist Pablo Menares and drummer Jay Sawyer. Zaleski is a regular on New York stages who has performed with Melissa Aldana and Walter Smith III; Menares and Sawyer supply a listening-based rhythmic and harmonic foundation for written and improvised material.
