WED 8 & 9:30 - Blimp Band w/Julian Shore, Max Light, Massimo Biolcati, Colin Stranahan
About This Event
At Bar Bayeux, Blimp Band — Julian Shore (piano), Max Light (guitar), Massimo Biolcati (bass) and Colin Stranahan (drums) — works at the intersection of jazz and free improvisation. Their sets favor composed frameworks that are dismantled in real time, letting grooves appear and dissolve as the group listens. Biolcati’s work with Gilfema and the Lionel Loueke Trio and on the iReal Pro app, Stranahan’s form‑shaping drumming, and Shore and Light’s economical playing guide the ensemble.
