Leo Genovese: Jazz Musician in New York

About Leo Genovese

Leo Genovese is an Argentine pianist, keyboardist, and composer whose work moves between jazz, free improvisation, and Afro‑Cuban and Latin lineages. Based in the U.S., he has recorded and toured in wide-ranging settings, including collaborations connected to The Mars Volta alongside work on the New York jazz circuit. In NYC he appears at rooms like Bar Bayeux and Ornithology, leading house-band sets, jam-session frameworks, and small-group dates with players such as Sean Conly, Diego Voglino, and Adam Kolker. His playing favors quick shifts in harmony and rhythm, with an ear for collective interplay over fixed forms.
