The Word Alive is a Phoenix-formed metalcore band that emerged in 2008 and built its early discography around releases for Fearless Records before moving to Thriller Records in 2022. An early EP, *Empire*, broke onto the Heatseekers chart, and their debut full-length *Deceiver* later entered the Billboard 200 while also charting among independent albums.
