About The Word Alive

The Word Alive is a Phoenix-formed metalcore band that emerged in 2008 and built its early discography around releases for Fearless Records before moving to Thriller Records in 2022. An early EP, *Empire*, broke onto the Heatseekers chart, and their debut full-length *Deceiver* later entered the Billboard 200 while also charting among independent albums. The current lineup centers on vocalist Tyler Smith alongside Jose DelRio, Logan Abernethy, and drummer Devin Attard. Their writing favors tight, hook-forward structures framed by post-hardcore intensity, heard live at New York City’s Gramercy Theatre.
