    About the Artists

    Oran Etkin

    Oran Etkin

    brazilian jazz

Oran Etkin is a jazz and world-music musician whose work often threads straight-ahead improvisation with Brazilian-inflected rhythm and song. In New York City he appears at venues such as Dizzy’s Club, shaping sets around close listening and real-time exchange with his rhythm section.

    Stan Getz

Stan Getz was an American jazz saxophonist. Playing primarily the tenor saxophone, Getz was known as "The Sound" because of his warm, lyrical tone, with his prime influence being the wispy, mellow timbre of his idol, Lester Young.

    Antônio Carlos Jobim

Antônio Carlos Brasileiro de Almeida Jobim, also known as Tom Jobim, was a Brazilian composer, pianist, guitarist, songwriter, arranger and singer. Jobim is considered a great exponent of Brazilian music and one of the fathers of bossa nova for having merged samba with cool jazz in the 1960s as a pioneer of the genre.
