    Steve Wilson, an American jazz multi-instrumentalist best known on flute and alto and soprano saxophone and a faculty member at the New England Conservatory, brings his quintet to Smoke Jazz & Supper Club for the release of Enduring Sonance. A veteran of more than twenty-five albums and an American Champion of the National Flute Association, Wilson has worked widely as a session musician and sideman; the record-release engagement reflects his interests in jazz, folk, classical, world and experimental music.

    At Smoke Jazz & Supper Club, the Steve Wilson Quintet marks the release of *Enduring Sonance*, led by Steve Wilson, a veteran American multi-instrumentalist heard on flute, alto saxophone, and soprano saxophone. Wilson is also a faculty member at the New England Conservatory and has appeared on more than twenty-five albums as a leader. The set frames new material in the working language of contemporary jazz, where composition and improvisation share the workload.
