The Oz Noy–Joe Bonamassa Band brings together two guitarists with distinct lineages: Bonamassa’s modern blues-rock language and Noy’s jazz-fusion sensibility. For this early set at The Bitter End, they are joined by Steve Ferrone, known for his work with Average White Band and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and bassist Will Lee of the longtime Letterman house band. The group leans on tight groove playing and quick shifts between blues phrasing and more harmonically open improvisation. Their performances favor interplay over spectacle.
