Earlier, he helped define the groove-forward sound of the Average White Band’s 1970s lineup, and his session work runs through artists including Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Stevie Nicks, and Michael Jackson.

Will Lee is a jazz-fusion bassist whose career spans studio work, touring, and long-running television band duties in New York. He is widely associated with the house band for David Letterman’s late-night programs, where his playing helped anchor a steady, adaptable groove.
