The Oz Noy–Joe Bonamassa Band brings together two guitarists with distinct lineages: Bonamassa’s modern blues-rock language and Noy’s jazz-fusion sensibility. For this early set at The Bitter End, they are joined by Steve Ferrone, known for his work with Average White Band and Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, and bassist Will Lee of the longtime Letterman house band.

Oz Noy is an Israeli-born guitarist and composer who has made New York City his base since the 1990s, moving between jazz, rock, blues, and funk with a fusion player’s instincts. A regular presence at Iridium, he leads projects like the Oz Noy Trio and the Oz Noy Organ Trio, and has shared bills there with artists including Wayne Krantz, Robben Ford, Brian Charette, and Shawn Pelton, alongside appearances tied to Les Paul celebrations.

Steve Ferrone is an English rock and pop drummer known for his long tenure in Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, where he took the drum chair in the mid-1990s and stayed through the band’s later years. Earlier, he helped define the groove-forward sound of the Average White Band’s 1970s lineup, and his session work runs through artists including Eric Clapton, George Harrison, Stevie Nicks, and Michael Jackson.

Will Lee is a jazz-fusion bassist whose career spans studio work, touring, and long-running television band duties in New York. He is widely associated with the house band for David Letterman’s late-night programs, where his playing helped anchor a steady, adaptable groove.
