About Sweeping Promises
Sweeping Promises is a Boston-formed post-punk duo now based in Lawrence, Kansas, centered on Lira Mondal and Caufield Schnug. Their recordings sit between post-punk and egg punk, driven by taut bass movement, clipped guitar lines, and plainspoken vocals. In concert, touring drummer Spenser Gralla has been part of the live lineup since 2019, widening the band’s dynamic range. Onstage at Brooklyn’s Baby’s All Right, their performances tend to favor precision over spectacle.
