David Zheng Band: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About David Zheng Band

The David Zheng Band is a jazz group heard on New York City stages, including sets at The Django. Led by David Zheng, the band works in a small-ensemble format that leaves room for shifting roles between soloist and accompanist. Their playing emphasizes arrangement and interplay, with the rhythm section treated as an equal voice rather than a backdrop. The approach favors clarity and forward motion over spectacle, keeping the focus on the conversation inside the tune.
