Cold Cave is the solo project of musician Wesley Eisold, working in the space between rock/pop structure and the colder edges of darkwave and synth-driven post-punk. The project’s palette nods to early-1980s touchstones, with stark bass lines and drum-machine propulsion often placed against a haze of noise. In New York City, Cold Cave has appeared at Pioneer Works, including a bill shared with Clan of Xymox. The performances tend to favor focus and atmosphere over spectacle.
