About Camera Obscura

Camera Obscura is a Glasgow indie pop band formed in 1996, built around the songs and lead vocals of Tracyanne Campbell alongside longtime members Kenny McKeeve, Gavin Dunbar, and Lee Thomson. After a hiatus in the mid-2010s following the loss of keyboardist Carey Lander, the group returned in 2019 with Donna Maciocia joining the lineup. Their later work, including the album *Look to the East, Look to the West*, continues a craft-first approach: clear melodies, steady rhythm, and lyrics that favor plainspoken detail over spectacle. They bring that repertory to the New York area stage at White Eagle Hall.
