About Ben Vida

Ben Vida is a New York–based artist and composer with an MFA from Bard College. For roughly two decades he has moved through the international experimental music community, working across electroacoustic composition, drone, musique concrète, and other avant-garde forms. At ISSUE Project Room he has appeared in collaborative settings, including performances with Matana Roberts and Sara Magenheimer. His work often treats sound as material, favoring structure and close listening over spectacle.
