Aaron Burnett Quartet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Aaron Burnett Quartet

The Aaron Burnett Quartet is a New York City–based jazz group led by Aaron Burnett, heard at Smalls Jazz Club. Burnett works where composed material meets improvisation, using open forms that leave room for decisions made on the bandstand. The quartet treats rhythm and timbre as structural elements rather than decoration, shaping pieces in real time. Their performances favor inquiry over polish, closer to experimental and free-jazz practice than repertoire-driven sets.
