Rez Abbasi Quartet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Rez Abbasi Quartet

Rez Abbasi Quartet is a small-group jazz ensemble led by guitarist and composer Rez Abbasi, heard in New York City rooms such as Smalls Jazz Club. The group’s repertoire centers on Abbasi’s writing and the kind of close listening that comes from bandstand experience rather than studio polish. In performance, the quartet tends to build pieces through steady development, with improvisations that follow the composition’s logic. With an emerging Spotify footprint, their profile is shaped more by live work than by metrics.
