Scott Neumann Quartet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Scott Neumann Quartet

The Scott Neumann Quartet is a New York City–based jazz group heard in the close quarters of Smalls Jazz Club, where small changes in tempo and touch register. Led by drummer Scott Neumann, the band draws on a working musician’s background shaped by steady onstage collaborations and the discipline of the jazz repertoire. Their sets move through originals and standards with an emphasis on ensemble listening and forward motion. The playing favors clarity and rhythmic detail over display.
