Brandon Lee Lewis Quartet: Jazz Ensemble in New York

About Brandon Lee Lewis Quartet

The Brandon Lee Lewis Quartet is a New York City jazz group heard at Smalls Jazz Club, working in the small-room tradition where arrangements and improvisation share the same weight. The ensemble is linked to bandleader Brandon Lee Lewis and has appeared in bills alongside the Ilya Dynov Quartet and Ilya Dynov. Their sets lean on tight ensemble cueing and open solo space, with an emphasis on line and rhythm rather than ornament. The playing favors clarity over spectacle.
