Foreigner: Rock Band in New York

About Foreigner

Foreigner is a British‑American rock group formed in New York City in 1976, built around guitarist Mick Jones and the early lead voice of Lou Gramm. Emerging from the late‑’70s radio‑rock circuit, the band established an AOR and classic‑rock vocabulary rooted in tight hooks and clean, guitar‑driven arrangements. In performance, Foreigner tends to favor direct ensemble drive over theatrical staging, letting the songs carry the set. Their New York ties remain part of the story when they return to local stages such as Westbury Music Fair.
