About Jihee Heo Quartet
The Jihee Heo Quartet is a New York City–based jazz group heard in club settings such as Smalls Jazz Club. Led by pianist Jihee Heo, the band works in the small-group tradition, balancing written frameworks with open improvisation and close listening onstage. The quartet has moved in overlapping circles with guitarist and bandleader Chris Bergson, including appearances connected to the Chris Bergson Quartet. Their performances favor clarity and ensemble cohesion over spectacle.
