About Han Chen
Han Chen is a pianist whose work sits between contemporary classical practice and electronic-informed performance. In New York City, he has appeared at Pioneer Works in projects that place the piano inside larger systems of sound and image, including False Harmonics #28: the Currawong Project by composer Matthias Kriesberg with electronics by Kevin Larke and video art by Huei Lin. He has performed alongside Arseniy Gusev, Asiya Korepanova, Nicolas Namoradze, and Élisabeth Pion. His playing favors clarity and structural focus over spectacle.
