Matthias Kriesberg: Singer-Songwriter in New York

About Matthias Kriesberg

Matthias Kriesberg is a composer and electronic artist whose work moves between contemporary concert music and media-based performance. In New York City he has presented projects at Pioneer Works, including the Currawong Project in the False Harmonics series, pairing his writing with electronics by Kevin Larke and video by Huei Lin. He has collaborated with pianists Han Chen, Arseniy Gusev, Asiya Korepanova, Nicolas Namoradze, and Élisabeth Pion, as well as performers such as Nicolas Namoradze and Huei Lin across disciplines. His practice favors structure and timbral detail over spectacle.
