MUSIC! with FLEA is a performance project centered on Michael “Flea” Balzary, best known as the founding bassist and long-running anchor of the Red Hot Chili Peppers. In New York City, the project has appeared at the Knitting Factory, bringing his funk-rock vocabulary into a club setting built for close listening. His work also extends through side groups and collaborations including Atoms for Peace, Antemasque, and Rocket Juice & the Moon. Onstage, the playing favors rhythmic precision and conversational interplay over spectacle.
