About Passion Pit

Passion Pit is the indie-pop project built around songwriter and keyboardist Michael Angelakos, who began recording under the name in 2007 in the Boston area. In the studio, Angelakos is the central architect; on tour the music expands into a full band with drums, keys, and multi-instrumental parts. The songs lean on bright synth patterns, clipped rhythms, and a high, elastic vocal delivery that turns private unease into communal chorus. In New York City, the group brings *The Pretty Penny Tour* to The Rooftop at Pier 17.
