About Clutch

Clutch is a Maryland rock band formed in 1991, built around vocalist Neil Fallon with guitarist Tim Sult, bassist Dan Maines, and drummer Jean-Paul Gaster. Over more than a dozen studio releases, they have kept a steady lineup and a working-band discipline, later moving to self-release through their Weathermaker Music imprint. Their sound sits in the lineage of stoner rock, driven by groove and narrative-heavy vocals rather than studio polish. In the New York area, they return to rooms like Starland Ballroom, including bills with Corrosion of Conformity and JD Pinkus.
