Presented at L’Alliance New York, *Une femme coquette* arrives as a live, no-ticket event shaped by The Crimson Curtain. The piece tracks the social choreography of flirtation and self-invention, using wit to expose how quickly desire becomes a public performance. In a city where French-language theater often appears in small, short runs, its presence here reads as part of L’Alliance’s ongoing role as a crossroads for Francophone stage work in NYC. Its sharpest move is how it treats “coquetry” less as a trait than as a strategy.
