Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt

1 upcoming performance in New York

Despite the familiar title, this “Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt” is a stand-up bill at New York Comedy Club’s East Village room, a neighborhood long tied to the city’s comedy pipeline. The night brings together club-formed comics Charles McBee, Dan St. Germain, Carolina Montesquieu, and Jilberto Soto with Jared Goldstein, a Carnegie Mellon–trained actor-comedian with screen credits. It’s a snapshot of how New York comedy is made in real time, shaped by the room’s shifting temperature. The best sets tend to show craft more than persona.
