RESISTANCE is a jazz set presented live at The Jazz Gallery, placing New York’s small-room listening culture at the center of the event. Featured performers include saxophonist Jacques Schwarz-Bart, whose writing often treats melody as narrative rather than decoration. The title points to music as a record of pressure and persistence, a theme that sits naturally in a city where jazz has long functioned as both art form and testimony. The most telling moments arrive when the ensemble holds a groove steady and lets tension accumulate.
