Pop's y Papas

1 upcoming performance in New York

“Pop’s y Papas” arrives in New York City as a live performance at the Milton G. Bassin Performing Arts Center, framed as a cross-genre program rather than a single-author concert. Miguel Anggelo joins the Queens College Choral Society, Spanish Harlem Orchestra, Queens Symphony Orchestra, and Santiago Cruz, placing Latin popular song in conversation with choral and symphonic traditions that have long shaped the city’s cultural life. It reads as an argument for shared lineage across boroughs and borders. One clear strength is how the lineup treats style as history, not decoration.
