John Cranko’s *Onegin*, now in the repertory of American Ballet Theatre, reshapes Pushkin’s verse novel into a full-length narrative ballet set to Tchaikovsky, arranged and stitched into a dramatic score. The story follows Tatiana’s youthful confession, Onegin’s refusal, and the later reckoning that turns regret into fate.
